Replaces hardcoded CSS colors with Codex design tokens
for the purposes of improving dark-mode support.
These changes resolves issues where text was
illegible in dark-mode (white text on white background).

The CSS was already unused when the extension was created in 2010.
A comment that still mentioned the CSS class was removed via
I0798864 in 2022.
The message is unused since I9fb7e66, that was in 2021.

The backgorund colour is more selectively applied
elsewhere. This just causes problems if the skin
sets <textarea>s to transparent (e.g. Minerva).
