The code previously appeared to add 'reference' (no "s"), but was failing to do so due to passing variadic arguments to a method that only takes one arguments (jQuery#addClass). See also Ifae04e48. Change-Id: Id59673c8033c82e51577f681221dbfd312da7b8d
