From 6843f159624b4842242109bdc903c51e881babf0 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Timo Tijhof Date: Fri, 6 Sep 2013 13:26:48 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] doc: Fix incorrect syntax These are not considered errors in jsduck 4.x but are in 5.x. Though we don't specifically want to support 5.x yet, these are actually genuine errors that were already causing incorrect documentation to be generated, even under 4.x (it just doesn't warn for these under 4.x). Not from 5.x warnings, but fixed while at it: * Removed more redundant @method * Added a missing @returns for ve.Range#flip * Added newline at EOF Change-Id: Idc22b46b082a813e8e1761403e1ebf908bf690c4 --- modules/ve/dm/ve.dm.Node.js | 2 +- modules/ve/ve.Range.js | 28 ++++++++++------------------ 2 files changed, 11 insertions(+), 19 deletions(-) diff --git a/modules/ve/dm/ve.dm.Node.js b/modules/ve/dm/ve.dm.Node.js index f1b1b054b0..f59101a5a0 100644 --- a/modules/ve/dm/ve.dm.Node.js +++ b/modules/ve/dm/ve.dm.Node.js @@ -63,7 +63,7 @@ ve.mixinClass( ve.dm.Node, ve.EventEmitter ); * If .static.childNodeTypes is set to [], this property is ignored and will be assumed to be true. * * @static - * @type {boolean} static.handlesOwnChildren + * @property {boolean} static.handlesOwnChildren * @inheritable */ ve.dm.Node.static.handlesOwnChildren = false; diff --git a/modules/ve/ve.Range.js b/modules/ve/ve.Range.js index cb0c0ff0f5..6c46054382 100644 --- a/modules/ve/ve.Range.js +++ b/modules/ve/ve.Range.js @@ -9,13 +9,15 @@ * Range. * * @class - * @constructor - * @param {number} from Starting offset - * @param {number} [to=from] Ending offset + * * @property {number} from Starting offset * @property {number} to Ending offset * @property {number} start Starting offset (the lesser of #to and #from) * @property {number} end Ending offset (the greater of #to and #from) + * + * @constructor + * @param {number} from Starting offset + * @param {number} [to=from] Ending offset */ ve.Range = function VeRange( from, to ) { this.from = from || 0; @@ -29,7 +31,6 @@ ve.Range = function VeRange( from, to ) { /** * Create a new range that's a translated version of another. * - * @method * @param {ve.Range} range Range to base new range on * @param {number} distance Distance to move range by * @returns {ve.Range} New translated range @@ -41,7 +42,6 @@ ve.Range.newFromTranslatedRange = function ( range, distance ) { /** * Create a range object that covers all of the given ranges. * - * @method * @param {Array} ranges Array of ve.Range objects (at least one) * @param {boolean} backwards Return a backwards range * @returns {ve.Range} Range that spans all of the given ranges @@ -74,7 +74,6 @@ ve.Range.newCoveringRange = function ( ranges, backwards ) { /** * Get a clone. * - * @method * @returns {ve.Range} Clone of range */ ve.Range.prototype.clone = function () { @@ -84,7 +83,6 @@ ve.Range.prototype.clone = function () { /** * Check if an offset is within the range. * - * @method * @param {number} offset Offset to check * @returns {boolean} If offset is within the range */ @@ -95,7 +93,6 @@ ve.Range.prototype.containsOffset = function ( offset ) { /** * Get the length of the range. * - * @method * @returns {number} Length of range */ ve.Range.prototype.getLength = function () { @@ -105,7 +102,7 @@ ve.Range.prototype.getLength = function () { /** * Gets a range with reversed direction. * - * @method + * @returns {ve.Range} A new range */ ve.Range.prototype.flip = function () { return new ve.Range( this.to, this.from ); @@ -114,8 +111,7 @@ ve.Range.prototype.flip = function () { /** * Check if two ranges are equal, taking direction into account. * - * @method - * @param {ve.Range} + * @param {ve.Range} other * @returns {boolean} */ ve.Range.prototype.equals = function ( other ) { @@ -125,8 +121,7 @@ ve.Range.prototype.equals = function ( other ) { /** * Check if two ranges are equal, ignoring direction. * - * @method - * @param {ve.Range} + * @param {ve.Range} other * @returns {boolean} */ ve.Range.prototype.equalsSelection = function ( other ) { @@ -136,8 +131,7 @@ ve.Range.prototype.equalsSelection = function ( other ) { /** * Create a new range with a limited length. * - * @method - * @param {number} Length of the new range (negative for left-side truncation) + * @param {number} length Length of the new range (negative for left-side truncation) * @returns {ve.Range} A new range */ ve.Range.prototype.truncate = function ( length ) { @@ -157,7 +151,6 @@ ve.Range.prototype.truncate = function ( length ) { * * A collapsed range has equal start and end values making its length zero. * - * @method * @returns {boolean} Range is collapsed */ ve.Range.prototype.isCollapsed = function () { @@ -167,9 +160,8 @@ ve.Range.prototype.isCollapsed = function () { /** * Check if the range is backwards, i.e. from > to * - * @method * @returns {boolean} Range is backwards */ ve.Range.prototype.isBackwards = function () { return this.from > this.to; -}; \ No newline at end of file +};
